USDA Seafood Trade Relief Program Update – https://www.farmers.gov/Seafood APPLICATIONS STARTED MONDAY (9/14) For the first time in history, fishermen are getting relief from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) for trade impacts similar to relief given to farmers. You will need to show your 2019 landings which USDA will apply to a pre-determined formula.

The smell of grilled salmon wafted across the dock of Pacific Star Seafoods on a warm and sunny lunchtime Tuesday. The Alaska Salmon Alliance, a trade organization representing seafood processors on the Kenai Peninsula, provided the salmon feed as a benefit to the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank. They dubbed it the "Return of the Reds," and hope to make it an annual event.
